Student Education Fund Program

Community Health Promotion Fund opened up the student educational fund with the main aim to assist needy students at North Coast Medical Training College with their school fees.

CHPF collaborates closely with NCMTC in selection and support of students and with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) which disburses loans to individual students and is responsible for management of recovery / repayments. The project target two categories of students;

On-going needy students who are in NCMTC

 New students who are trying to join NCMTC but are not able due to financial difficulties

  • Partial tuition support
  • Accommodation support
  • Learning device (laptop, tablet) support
  • Upkeep support

GERMAN DOCTORS’ PROGRAM

The project is supported by German Doctors and is a three year project that aims to support 14 extremely poor and vulnerable girls from Kilifi South Sub County. The project has been able to achieve the following;

Identification of vulnerable girls from NCMTC and the community A total of 23 girls were identified and interviewed.

Home visits 17home visits conducted in Kilifi South. From the home visits conducted 14 girls qualified to join NCMTC for admission.

Distribution and orientation on the learning devices 14 Laptops were bought on 30th September 2022 and were distributed to the girls on 14th October 2022 .
