Environmental conservation education

Community Health Promotion Fund (CHPF) has been martializing the ground on issues environmental concerns. it has been a collective responsibility but today we greatly focus on capacitating the children on environmental education.

Why for children ?

Environmental education instills a lifelong respect and affection for nature in children. When children learn about the environment, they learn to appreciate its beauty and its importance in their lives. They develop a connection to the natural world that stays with them throughout  their lives.

Environmental education encourages children to ask questions and to think critically about the world around them. They learn to examine issues from different perspectives and to develop their own opinions. They learn to weigh the evidence and make informed decisions. These critical thinking skills are essential for success in school and in life.

Environmental education provides children with the tools they need to become responsible environmental stewards. They learn about environmental problems and solutions, and they learn to take action to address these problems. They learn about the impact of their actions on the environment and develop a sense of responsibility for protecting it.

Finally, being in the coastal region, Coastal ecosystems are unique and fragile, and they are under threat from human activities. Environmental education helps children to understand the importance of preserving these ecosystems and the impact that human activities can have on them. By learning about coastal ecosystems, children learn to appreciate their complexity and beauty and to recognize the need to protect them.
