Student Education Fund

Community Health Promotion Fund opened up the student educational fund with the main aim to assist needy students at North Coast Medical Training College with their school fees.

Universal Health Care(UHC)

This program is designed to ensure that every individual, regardless of their socio-economic status, has access to high-quality health care services

Research Centre

CHPF opened Research centre  to Contribute knowledge on community health and primary health care and outcomes of interventions in these fields as well as contributing to the body of knowledge on medical education from the perspective of a midlevel medical training college in Kenya

Community Based Education & Service (COBES)

This is a community based  system both in the set-up of the training and in the provision of services to the surrounding community, with a clear mission to address gaps in the healthcare system.

Adolescent and Youth Health

The Adolescent and Youth Health Initiative educates young people about sexual and reproductive health. Through interactive workshops, peer education programs, and community outreach, the initiative aims to provide adolescents and youths with accurate information, build their awareness, and foster healthy practices

Environmental Sanitation

The program entails carrying out baseline community Environmental assessment (CEHA).  Design information ,Education and Communication materials to address key environmental health issues within target communities and routinely conduct environment sanitation campaigns and actions (ESCA) 

Health for the Elderly

The Aim  of the program is to document all elderly people and follow them through their early, middle and late stages of life
Routinely examine elderly people and document their health status
Take the elderly through appropriate mental and physical activities and deliver specific health messages during each activity
Occasionally, conduct mass screening for chronic illness and treatment for communal afflictions and diseases of the elderly.

School Health Programme

The program aims to document all children in the school per class and follow them through their growth in school
Routinely examine them and document their health status
Take school children through playing and learning activities and deliver specific health messages during each activity
Occasionally, conduct mass treatment for communal afflictions, such as deworming exercise, vitamin supplementation.

Young Families Programme

We aim to document all women and children 3 years and below
Routinely examine registered women and children.
Identify and refer women or children with abnormalities or chronic illnesses.
Give health education to women with children.

In and About Pregnancy

The aim is to document all women in pregnancy and those intending to be pregnant
Routinely examine women before, during and after pregnancy
Identify and refer pregnant mothers who have abnormalities or complications
Give health education to women within the child bearing age

CHILD PROTECTION

This is one of the programmes under CHPF that was started in July 2022. The key role and aim if the program is to ensure that child rights welfare matters are well taken into consideration.

Social work department

This programme is deeply rooted in responses to the the emergence of mental health needs created by the impact of social, political, economic and community-based violence. Community health promotion fund (CHPF) came up with a frame work to address the issue in the community. 

EYE HEALTH PROGRAMME

This is one of the programmes under CHPF that was started  to address the challenges related to eye health in the community. We offer free eye clinic services every Wednesday.
