Community Dialogue on Teen Pregnancies

Community engagement on critical matters is a key in any society. Today CHPF held an intergenerational activity on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights at Bomani Pale Pale. The meeting that brought on board the parents youths and community leadership lead by the Bomani Area Assistant Chief.

The meeting aimed at getting the feedback from the community on matters teenage pregnancies, know the role of parents or rather elders in eradicating the teenage pregnancy. This comes after a series of consultative meeting on the same. In the recent past we have had a series of community sensitization on matters teenage pregnancies’ we can say that there is a significant change today. the scenario has changed drastically. parents

Parents were appealed to to take initiatives of open talks with their children which will enable them know the challenges that young people are undergoing. Furthermore, the cases of teenage pregnancies are reported to have been influenced by unhealth relationships and therefore parents were called upon to guide their kids in life skills issues.

Was also a nice opportunity for us to receive the key challenges being encountered and therefore we look forward to working on them systematically. The leadership also plays a vital role and were granted the chance to articulate mechanisms being applied and the way forward.
