Today marked a moment of great joy and pride for the Community Health Promotion Foundation (CHPF) as we had the privilege of hosting our long-standing friend and partner, Motse Noel from the Baobab Ticino Organization. Her visit was not only a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to improving community health but also a testament to the power of meaningful partnerships in driving sustainable impact.
During her visit, Motse Noel made a generous donation of 100 pairs of eyeglasses to support our eye health services. This contribution comes at a crucial time, as the demand for accessible and affordable eye care continues to grow within the communities we serve. The eyeglasses will be used to strengthen the capacity of our eye clinic, enabling us to reach even more individuals who struggle with uncorrected vision challenges.
A Boost to Eye Health Services in the Community
Access to eye care remains limited for many people, especially in rural and underserved areas. Conditions such as short-sightedness, long-sightedness, and age-related vision changes often go untreated due to financial barriers, lack of awareness, or limited availability of services. For many community members, a simple pair of eyeglasses can dramatically improve daily functioning, enhance productivity, and restore independence.
The donation from Baobab Ticino will go a long way in bridging this gap. By equipping our eye clinic with additional resources, we can screen more clients, provide timely support, and ensure that those with refractive errors receive the visual aids they need. This is not just a gift of eyeglasses—it is a gift of opportunity, dignity, and improved quality of life.

Ongoing Free Eye Health Services
At CHPF, we remain dedicated to ensuring that essential health services are accessible to all. Our facility offers free eye health services both at the community level and at our clinic. Every Wednesday, our clinic opens its doors to individuals seeking eye assessments, screenings, and treatment referrals. Additionally, our outreach teams work within villages to bring services closer to households that may otherwise face difficulties accessing care.
These services form part of our broader commitment to preventive health and early intervention. By addressing eye-related conditions early, we reduce the risk of long-term complications and support the overall wellbeing of the communities we serve.
A Partnership Rooted in Shared Vision

The relationship between CHPF and Baobab Ticino Organization has been built on a shared vision for healthier, empowered communities. This marks the second time Motse Noel and her team have demonstrated unwavering support for our initiatives, helping us strengthen the eye health program and expand our reach. Her latest contribution is yet another example of her compassion, dedication, and belief in the work we do.
We are deeply grateful for this incredible support. Contributions like this not only enhance our service delivery but also motivate our staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing essential health services.
A Message of Appreciation
On behalf of the entire CHPF team and the communities we serve, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Motse Noel and the Baobab Ticino Organization for standing with us in advancing community health. Your kindness and commitment continue to create meaningful, lasting change.
We look forward to many more years of collaboration as we work together to uplift and transform lives—one community at a time.
