The Community Health Promotion Fund (CHPF) proudly joined millions of people around the world in commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD)—a global observance dedicated to promoting the rights, dignity, and well-being of persons living with disabilities. Celebrated every year on December 3rd, this day serves as a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we all share in building inclusive, equitable, and compassionate societies.
The 2025 theme, “Fostering Disability-Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress,” highlights the essential role of inclusion in shaping a just and progressive world. It goes beyond awareness, urging communities, governments, organizations, and individuals to actively embrace diversity and remove barriers that limit participation and opportunity.
At CHPF, we strongly believe that disability is not an inability, but simply another expression of human diversity. Persons living with disabilities are equipped with unique abilities, perspectives, and strengths that contribute significantly to social, economic, and cultural development when given adequate support and equal access to opportunities. This belief guides our mission to promote health, empowerment, and social inclusion across all communities.
Reaffirming Our Commitment to Inclusion

During this year’s celebration, CHPF emphasized the importance of recognizing and supporting persons with disabilities as integral members of the community. We underscored the need for accessible environments, inclusive policies, and sustainable support systems that allow individuals with disabilities to thrive with dignity and independence.
Our organization continues to champion initiatives that address key challenges faced by persons with disabilities, including limited access to healthcare, education, employment, and community engagement. We advocate for the elimination of stigma and discrimination, while promoting awareness on the importance of respecting differences and embracing equity.
Empowering Communities Through Awareness and Action

One of CHPF’s core priorities is strengthening community capacity to understand and support disability inclusion. We believe that meaningful progress requires collective action. Families, institutions, leaders, and community members all play a vital role in shaping a society where persons with disabilities can participate fully and confidently.
As part of the IDPD activities, CHPF engaged communities in dialogues aimed at increasing understanding of disability rights, early intervention, inclusive education, and support services. We encouraged local stakeholders to collaborate in creating safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces for everyone.
Looking Toward a More Inclusive Future

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is not just a celebration—it is a call to action. It challenges us to reflect on how far we have come and how much more we must do to ensure that no one is left behind. CHPF remains committed to championing the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.
As we move forward, we encourage all partners, stakeholders, and community members to continue working with us to build a society grounded in equality, compassion, and opportunity for all. Together, we can foster a world where every person—regardless of ability—is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
